Amanda J. Engen

Amanda Engen grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She attended the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Political Science. After completion of her undergraduate degree, she worked as a Family Court Officer in Ramsey County, MN, before law school. Amanda attended the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska. During law school, Amanda demonstrated her aptitude and passion for family law, earning the CALI Award of Excellence in Family Law Practice.

Upon her graduation from law school, Amanda took a position with the State Of North Dakota working for the child support agency in Devils Lake, N.D. In 2014, Amanda opened Engen Law Office, P.C. where she practiced family law. During her time in North Dakota, Amanda effectively argued child support matters before the North Dakota Supreme Court. She also served as the Juvenile Court Presenter for the Spirit Lake Tribal Court and served on the Tribal and State Court Affairs Committee for the North Dakota Supreme Court.

 

In 2020, Amanda moved to Buffalo, Minnesota, and has been practicing law there since that time at a local law firm. In 2023, Amanda reopened Engen Law Office, P.C. where she provides family law services in the Northwest Metro area, primarily Wright, Sherburne, Anoka, Carver, and Hennepin County. Since 2010, Amanda has assisted hundreds of clients with their family law issues and looks forward to continuing to zealously advocate for her clients.

Amanda, also known as Major Engen, joined the Army National Guard in 2000 and served as a Judge Advocate in the Minnesota Army National Guard. She deployed to Iraq as a paralegal from 2006 to 2007 with the 734th Transportation Battalion out of Kearney, Nebraska, and is a combat veteran. She has competed on the rifle shooting team at the Winston P. Wilson National Shooting Competition. She currently serves as the Brigade Judge Advocate for the 347th Regional Support Group, headquartered in Brooklyn Park, MN. She has also served as the Legal Advisor to the board and spent three years as an attorney in the Trial Defense Services section.

 

She and her three children have made their home in Buffalo. She currently serves as the Vice President of the 18th Judicial District Bar Association. Amanda lives for traveling and in her free time enjoys skiing, playing golf, running, strength training, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Adele Walker

Adele Walker grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and graduated from Concordia College with a Bachelor of Arts in Technical and Creative Writing. After graduating, she enjoyed six years in the Napa Valley area. After moving back to Minnesota, Adele and her family chose Buffalo, MN for their home. Adele and her two boys enjoy after school beach trips, weekends at the Science Museum or the lake cabin, and cozy days snuggled up on the couch reading Harry Potter.
